I plan on getting a PS3 soon, except I’m wondering why the HDD are so big? Theres a 40GB & 80GB, and I cant possibly imagine why somebody would want an HDD that big? I own a xbox 360 20GB HDD, and its more then enough for me. Would I be fine if I got a 40GB HDD instead of a 80?

  1. For me, the more memory the better. You would be surprised how much memory you have after all the system updates, demos you download, and music and movies you store on the HDD. Demos take up lots of space and come in handy when you don’t have a lot of money to burn on games once you have bought the system.

  2. Zack D is right, i have the 80gb! i hold lots of movies and pictures so that when i feel like it i have any movie i want to watch right on it and i got over 2000 songs to choose to listen to, i have surround sound

    and

i keep lots of pictures for the ” Playstation Home” coming out fall i beleive , evan when they keep delaying it for over a year.

  3. If you want to play PS2 games then 40gb can’t do that only 60gb and 80gb. But if your just gonna play PS3 games get the 40gb,
